Threadplay with Cheryl Shaw
March 14, 2026 (Saturday) 9:30 - 2:30 at COTA         Cost $25












 

Explore the use of free motion stitches and do some thread sketching and learn some thread painting techniques.  If you did the Lion Applique, Owl in the Tree, Pet Portrait, or Stained Glass workshops and would love to finish them, this is a great class.  Also a great class if you have a panel that you would love to doodle on.

Jellyroll Rug
April 11, 2026 during Saturday Sew Day at COTA        No Cost











Do you want to learn how to make a Jellyroll Rug? If so, there will be an
informal information session where we will discuss the steps involved, including
how to create your strips, how to start and stop, sewing your strips together,
making your first corner and discussing what to do so your rug stays flat. 

If you are interested, please register. There will be prep work involving sewing
your 2 ½” strips together and cutting your batting strips. 


Quilt As You Go Quilt with Pat Brotherston

Sisterhood Quilt with Shar Lyseng

Shar will guide you through the process of making a beautiful quilt using ½ square triangles and rectangles. 


Cutwork Snowflake with Kathy Wylie
September 25, 2026 (Friday) 9:30 - 3:30 at COTA      Cost Pending

















Learn how to create the look of heirloom cutwork by machine in a fraction of
the normal time. There are four options to choose from: 
*Lacy Snowflake,
*Glittery Snowflake,
*Snowflake Quilt Block
*Stained Glass Snowflake.

Twister Table Runner with Cathy Newman
October 31, 2026 (Saturday) 9:30 - 2:30 at COTA        Cost $25













Make an easy pinwheel table runner using the Twister quilting ruler and 5” squares. 
There will be extra rulers at the workshop, so if you don’t have one, no problem. 
This opens the door to doing a quilt using 10” squares and using the larger ruler. 

Introduction to Free-Motion Quilting with Julie Plotniko
November 27, 2026 (Friday) 9:30-2:30 at COTA            Cost $50

A great class if you would like to try free-motion quilting.  The class includes correct body positioning, machine tension, correct needle, thread and design combinations.  You will create samplers of loops, spirals, stars, flowers, stippling and hearts with a focus on stitch length, tension and comfort with stitching in all directions.
